Prime factorization and what it gives you for free, why some roots never end, and the exponent laws — including what a negative or fractional exponent actually means.

Unit 5: Polynomials and factoring
Multiplying out, and then the harder direction: putting an expression back into brackets. Common factor first, always, and then a pattern.

Unit 6: Relations and functions
What makes a relation a function, how to say what inputs and outputs are allowed, and what f(x) is actually asking you to do.
