Two soccer balls. Fill in the table, work out the cost per game, then decide — and say why. There is no single right answer, but there should be a reason.

Which one would you buy?
Ball A: $12 ÷ 10 = $1.20 a game. Ball B: $30 ÷ 60 = $0.50 a game. The dearer ball is cheaper to use — but buying A still makes sense if you only have $12, or only play a few times. Any choice with a reason meets the outcome.
Cost per use is the idea to take away: a cheap thing that breaks can cost more than a dear thing that lasts. It is also good division practice.
